The recipe for the famous Maison Kayser cookie
Spoil yourself this back-to-school season with these moist, nutty chocolate snacks.
Éric Kayser takes you through the steps of this easy-to-make recipe with your loved ones.
- 77g melted butter
- 165g brown sugar.
- 1 egg.
- 3g salt.
- 154g flour.
- 5g baking powder
- 165g dark chocolate.
- 40g walnuts.
- 46g pecans.
- 1 plastic film.
- 1 sheet of greaseproof paper.
- 1 ovenproof tray
- 2 potholes
- 1 whisk.
- 1 couteau scie.
- Mixing: about 10 minutes.
- Rest: at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Baking time: 14 to 15 min at 160°C
The recipe:
Put the melted butter in the mixing bowl.
Add the brown sugar. Mix well.
Leave to set.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and egg.
Mix together.
Add the chocolate, walnuts and pecans.
Mix by hand on the table so as not to break up these last ingredients.
Form a homogeneous block.
Place in the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up.
Next, cut the dough into pieces with your saw knife.
Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them sufficiently apart.
Flatten slightly with the palm of your hand.
Bake for 14-15 min at 160°C.
